About Maintenance

1. Clean the pot with warm water before use (avoid using steel wool to clean it).
2. Open the pot before first use: Dry the cleaned pot with low heat, wipe the inside of the pot with pork skin (can be replaced by cooking oil) repeatedly for about 3 minutes to make the pot fully covered with grease, then turn off the heat. Let the grease in the pot after standing for 5--6 hours, it can be used after cleaning. If it is not used immediately, it needs to be dried. (This item is suitable for inner black enamel, inner white enamel does not need to be opened)
3. The enamel cast iron pot is heated with medium and small fire throughout the whole process. Do not empty the pot for a long time during the cooking process.
4. The heating of the pot body will cause the handle to heat up. Be careful when using it to avoid burns.
5. Try to use a wooden shovel or a silicone shovel, and avoid using a metal shovel to avoid scratching the enamel layer.
6.A. The inner black enamel pot needs to be opened and maintained. It is suitable for frying dishes. It likes oil.
B. The inner white enamel pot does not need to be opened, it is suitable for stewing, or dishes with soup. It likes water. After using for a period of time, the inner liner will turn yellow and discolored, which is normal and does not affect the use.
7. Since the enamel pots are all cast with sand molds, a large amount of gas will be generated when molten iron is poured into the mold, so the finished products may have blisters, pores, etc. The enamel pot layer is sprayed upside down, so there will be some silver-gray iron exposed along the pot edge, which is not a quality problem. After cleaning, you can apply vegetable oil to the pot to prevent rust.
